This site runs the original 1987 Atari ST floppy of Star Trek: The Rebel Universe, unchanged, on Hatari 2.6.1, the Atari ST emulator, compiled to WebAssembly. Hatari is free software under the GNU General Public License.

v2.6.1). - The changes for this site are in hatari-2.6.1-web.patch. They let the page set the frame pace, feed mouse and keyboard input, take save states, read the finished frame and the mixed sound, and spread the three sound voices into stereo, and they make the Emscripten build work with current toolchains.
The game calls into the Atari ST's ROM at fixed addresses, so it runs with Atari's own TOS 1.00 rather than the free EmuTOS.
The page's own scripts are served as plain, readable files: main.js and emu.js.
