How to play
The game is played with the mouse. The big picture is the station you are using. The small
pictures around it are the bridge crew: click one to bring their station to the big picture.
The crew
Kirk The captain's log: mission date, enemies destroyed, the stores, and the transporter
once you are in orbit. Beam an away team down from here.
Spock Science. Scans the star system or ship you are at and tells you what is there.
McCoy Sick bay: the health of every crew member.
Sulu Navigation. Pick a star on the map and set course. The map has three scales:
Local, Regional and the whole Quarantine Zone.
Chekov Weapons. In a fight, aim phasers and photon torpedoes at the weak points of the enemy ship.
Scotty Engineering: warp and impulse power, damage control and repairs.
Uhura Communications: messages from Starfleet and anyone else.
Getting around
To travel: open Sulu's console and click the globe for the star map. Click a star (its name and distance
appear on the left), click Set course , then open the speed controls (the tile with the green warp
bar) and click a warp factor. Warp eats into the five years quickly; STOP halts the ship.
In a star system, choose a planet and confirm to go into orbit at impulse.
Friendly Federation systems refuel, repair and rearm the Enterprise.
Klingon and Romulan systems can be guarded, and some Federation ships have already turned.
Away teams
On a planet each room holds nothing, an item, or an obstacle. Pick the crew member best suited to
the obstacle: the wrong choice can hurt them. The last room may hold equipment or data banks with
clues about how to free the zone.

Save and Load (F5 and F9) keep one saved game in this browser, at any moment,
even mid-fight.
Speed (Tab) runs the ST at 2×, 4× or Max, as fast as your computer allows (about 5× on a fast PC). The sound keeps playing at its normal pitch, in slices.
Computer opens the ship's computer: the mission clock with an easier setting, fast warp, a ship's log that writes itself as you play (and takes your own notes), a list of the
stars you have picked, save slots, rewind (a point every 30 seconds), and, if you want it, where
every key item can be found.
Graphics: Remastered shows the game's pictures as if drawn for a 640x400 colour ST: twice the detail, in each
screen's own colours and fine stipple, with hard pixels. Smooth shows the ST's pixels with the jagged edges
smoothed. Classic shows them exactly as the ST did.
Sound: Enhanced spreads the three sound voices into stereo and smooths them; Classic is the ST as it was.
The keyboard is passed to the ST. On a phone or tablet, tap where you would click.
